This is one of my longest and best friends, Leigh Oliver. Our grandmothers were friends, so naturally we became friends as well. I don’t remember a time when we weren’t together. We went to elementary, high school, and college together. This is one of our favorite pictures. She always sends/posts this picture of us on my birthday. We have been through a lot together. I know through everything she is always there for me, encouraging and supporting me and my research. When you have known someone as long as we have, it would be impossible for her not to become my family.
