These ladies are often referred to as the Stephenson sisters, but to me they will always be Aunt Henrie, Aunt Cille, and Aunt Gaz. One of them if not all of them were there for weddings, births, deaths, holidays, and everything in between for my family. It wasn’t until I was teenager that I learned that we weren’t actually related to them. They were friends with my grandparents. Their children were friends with my parents, and their grandchildren are my friends. So, in many ways they are family in every sense of the word.
