RootsTech Connect 2021

RootsTech 2021 is going to look very different from past conferences, and conference dates have changed to February 25-27, 2021. Family Search announced that RootsTech 2021 will be a FREE virtual online event. That’s right you read that right, I said FREE (registration is still required).

Family Search International CEO, Steve Rockwood said “this pandemic is giving us the opportunity to bring RootsTech to a broader audience worldwide. A virtual event also allows us to expand our planning to truly make this a global celebration of family and connection”. RootsTech Connect 2021 will enable attendees to participate from around the world and will still feature inspiring keynote speakers, many classes in multiple languages, and will have a virtual expo hall. Throughout the three-day online event, attendees will have the ability to interact with presenters, exhibitors, and other attendees through live chat and question and answer sessions.

Oh did I mention that I am a RootsTech Ambassador for this conference. I’m excited to be a part of RootsTech Connect. RootsTech is the largest genealogy conference in the world. Although this conference will be different because we will all be attending from our homes and not as a collective group, RootsTech will still provide the same genealogy energy and resources as with past conferences. There will be some exciting news coming from RootsTech in the next couple of months, and as an ambassador I will keep you informed of all the details so stay tuned.

The theme of of the conference is Celebrate Your Family Story. RootsTech Connect 2021 will allow you to connect with friends, family, your heritage, and other family historians from around the world all from the comfort of your home. Registration is still required for this free event. Go to rootstech.org to register.

Although this won’t be my first RootsTech, I’m super excited about it being virtual. They promise some really fun and interesting things are planned.
