Happy Holidays and Thank You

I never know where this genealogy journey is going to take me, and I never know who I will meet along the way. This genealogy journey has made me into a list person.  I write out lists of books I want to read, ancestors I want to research.  I make lists of libraries, research centers and museums I want to visit, relatives and cities I want to visit.  I always like to have a plan.  But sometimes it’s the unplanned things that make this journey even more special.  My blog was very much unplanned and outside of my comfort zone.

I never considered myself a writer, and I still don’t.  I never thought in a thousand years that not only I would have a blog, but there would be people who I have never met that are enjoying what I write about and engaged in what I write about.  I am truly thankful for everyone who has subscribed to my blog and for everyone that has ever read my blog.  You all have been such and encouragement for me.  So I wanted my last blog of 2018 to be a thank you.  Thank you for reading, thank you for subscribing, thank you for all of the comments and likes you have shared.  I am truly grateful for each and everyone of you.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!!!!!!

    Trisha,
As you are saying thank you to us, I can’t help but think how I thank you for your inspiration. You make it all seem so easy and simple. Often we get stuck in thinking we need a big production, but we don’t. The simplicity of you posting family pics and simply stating who they were was brilliant. How hard was that? Please keep things going. I live vicariously through your journey. Thank you.

Thanks so much for reading my blog, and I’m so happy that you are enjoying what I write about. I never thought that I could inspire someone. I was sitting at work and the 12 Days of Christmas came on, and I thought I should do something like that. I had most of the photos on my phone. I only had to dig around for a few. At first I thought I needed to go in to way more detail, but then I decided just to identify who was in the photo would be enough. By day seven I was wishing for more days because going through my photos was so much fun. I didn’t realize how many photos I had of my family. This series has made me want to organize my photos a lot better. So that is what I will be working on for the next couple of months. Thanks again for reading. I hope you are having a great holiday season and happy new year. Let me know if I can help out in any way.
