Journey Through the Generations 500th Post

When I wrote for the very first time in 2017, I had no idea where this blog would lead me. I wasn’t thinking about readers, subscribers, likes, or comments. I was simply sharing my family history discoveries. I still have a hard time introducing myself has a family history blogger.

Over the years this blog has become more than a place to store my research. It has been a constant companion through my family history research, on road trips, to conferences, and with me through family milestones. This blog has really been a home for my thoughts as I continue to learn about my family history.

This blog wouldn’t be if it weren’t for my husband, who not only set up this blog for me, but also encouraged me to do something I didn’t think I could. Thank you so much for all you have done and continue to do for me and my research journey.

Reaching 500 posts is a milestone I never expected. Thank you for joining me on this genealogy journey.  If this blog has been an inspiration or motivation for at least one person to get started in researching genealogy, to pick up their research again, or to continue researching through a brick wall, I consider this blog a great success.  This blog has been a part of my journey that I hadn’t expected, but now I can’t see my journey without it.  I can’t wait to see what my 600th blog post is about.
