If you have been following my blog or podcast for anytime at all, then you know how much I love the TV show Relative Race. Relative Race is a genetic DNA reality show. It consists of four teams that are racing across America in search for their relatives that they have never met before. They have all taken a genetic DNA test prior to the start of the race. It’s part Who Do You Think You Are and part Amazing Race. Each team will drive from city to city using only paper maps and a flip phone to guide them. The teams are not allowed to use GPS, Wi-Fi, or smartphones. In past seasons team members have met cousins, siblings, and even parents for the first time during this journey.

Once you watch one episode you will be hooked. Season 16 of Relative Race premieres Sunday, September 21st, 8PM EST on BYUTV. Download the BYUTV app to watch or catch up on past seasons.

I haven’t watched in a while! I will go back just a season or 2 to see how it’s changed. The last season I watched was the young brothers who didn’t have a drivers license. They are all heartwarming but there are some pairs I like better than others!

That was one of my favorite seasons. The show has changed some, including that they no longer have to take city selfies. I do miss that part of the game. But it gives them more time with their relatives once they find them.

I initially saw a short story of the show. I was immediately drawn to it and found out it was a TV show. I was hooked, and I binge-watched the show until it caught up. Since then, I have been watching every season. Looking forward to the new Fall season.

I still have to watch the last few episodes of season 15, and then I will be caught up. I’m excited to meet these new teams and see who their journey leads them to.

I absolutely love this show, in the first two season they had the teams doing to much. I’m so glad they stop having the teams take a selfie with the relative and doing two challenges I love how all the challenges are the same now more of a even playing field! One of my favorite seasons was season 11, I loved everything and everyone of the contestants! That season had me crying on every episode! I’m counting down the days until season 16!!

I never heard of this show until a year or two ago and watched early (full) episodes. I believe it was on YouTube. I keep finding short clips and not full episodes. Where to I find them now??

Day 7, Sadie meets a brother (age 17) and a sister (age 13). They all have the same mom, but no explanation as to who the younger siblings are living with. It is becoming more apparent that homes are staged and the conversations are scripted.
