I am so excited that Finding Your Roots is coming back with season 12 on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 on PBS. Finding Your Roots is one of my all-time favorite TV shows that also happens to be all about genealogy. The host, Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr, uses a ‘book of life’ that contains photos and documents to help explain their family history. The guests of this show are famous actors, athletes, politicians, and musicians. The show also shows some of the research techniques and places that the genealogists used while researching.
Season 12 features America Ferrera, Brittney Griner, Kristin Chenoweth, Lizzo, Sanna Lathan, and Spike Lee along with others. Let me know if you watch Finding Your Roots and which episode are most looking forward to seeing.

If I ever got the chance to meet Dr. Gates or any one from that show, I keep a list of questions on me. I love that show and would love to pick their genealogy minds.
