52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks 2025 – Week 19: At the Library

NOTE: I accepted the 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks challenge headed by fellow genealogy blogger Amy Johnson Crow. The idea behind this challenge is that you will receive email prompts, a word or phrase, every week, and you find something about your research or family history to write about.  Click HERE to read my first 52 Ancestors blog post in 2019.

I have been researching my family history for over 12 years now, and going to the library is one of my most favorite things to do. I have been to many libraries and repositories in Arkansas because that’s where I live and where my family is from. But I have also been to research in Salt Lake City, UT at the Family Search Library several times. I have also been to libraries in Missouri, Louisiana, New York, South Carolina, and Washington DC. I have been able to find my ancestors in every library I’ve been to, and as of late I have been to several libraries digitizing family photos, documents, VHS tapes, and cassette tapes. I have many more libraries on my list to visit. Luckily my research is everlasting, so I will find something to do at all of them once I get there.
