RootsTech 2025 – 3 Day Pass Giveaway

I have been attending RootsTech conferences since 2018. If you are a family historian/genealogist, this conference is probably on your genealogy bucket list. RootsTech 2025 will be held at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City from March 6-8, 2025. I’m excited to announce that Family Search has given me two tickets to the 3-day event I can give to my subscribers. So, if you are planning to attend the in-person event and would like to, you can enter to win below. Two lucky people will be chosen.

We are excited to be able to give away a 3-day pass for the in-person conference to two lucky people. RootsTech will be held on March 6-8, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The pass includes:

NOTE: The pass does not include airfare, hotel expenses, paid lunches, paid labs, or any other expenses. If you have already purchased a RootsTech pass and are selected as the winner, no worries—you will receive a full refund for winning our contest.

The pass is for 3-days of admission to the conference and is valued at $99 and are provided by FamilySearch. Transportation, food and hotel are NOT included in the 3-day pass.

Official Rules:

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Must be 18 years or older and a U.S. Resident. Void were prohibited or restricted by law. By entering, you agree to these official rules, which are a contract, so read carefully before entering. Employees, interns and the families of FamilySearch International and its official Rootstech Partners, are not eligible for the Giveaway.

The two winners of this giveaway will receive one (1) complimentary IN-PERSON 3-day pass for the 2025 Rootstech Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah (a $99 USD value). FamilySearch International, a Utah nonprofit corporation, 50 East North Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah 84150, provides passes to us.

These passes do not include airfare, hotel, meals, special events, workshops, labs, or any other expenses.

The giveaway will be open from December 4th, 2024, at 12:01 a.m. CST to December 31st, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CST.

Winners will be drawn from qualifying entries and announced on social media channels. They will also be notified by the email provided. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries.

After the drawing date, Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential Winners via email. If a potential Winner: (a) does not respond after the first attempted contact from Sponsor within 48 hours of initial notification attempt, (b) is not in compliance with these Official Rules, (c) does not meet the eligibility requirements, (d) declines the prize, or (e) does not sign and return required documents or provide required identification by deadlines established by Sponsor, he or she will be disqualified and the prize may be awarded to an alternate Winner as determined by random draw from the remaining entries. Winner must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in their state of residence, whichever is older, at the time of entry and must be in compliance with all terms and conditions in these Official Rules. Winner may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity Release (where legal) and an Assignment of Rights (collectively, the “Prize Acceptance Documents”) within five (5) days of notification or prize may be forfeited. The Prizes will be subject to the additional restrictions below: No prize substitutions, cash equivalent, or transfer of prizes permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The prize is not for resale or barter and has no cash value. All properly claimed prizes will be awarded, but in no event will more prizes be awarded than those provided for in these Official Rules. There is a limit of one (1) prize per person. Winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes in their jurisdiction of residence (federal, state, and local). Winner may be required to provide certain information to facilitate receipt of the award, including completing and submitting any tax or other forms necessary for compliance with applicable withholding and reporting requirements. United States residents may be required to provide a completed Internal Revenue Service Form W-9. By accepting a prize, Winner acknowledges compliance with these Official Rules.
