National DNA Day commemorates the successful completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003 and the discovery of DNA’s double helix in 1953. DNA Day is celebrated annually on April 25th after the 108th Congress passed concurrent resolutions designating it as DNA Day in 2003.

RootsTech DNA Day will offer a range of classes and educational opportunities for individuals interested in learning more about the role of DNA in family history and genealogy research. Highlights of the event include keynote speakers, interactive workshops, and DNA testing booths. Keynote speakers for RootsTech DNA Day include renowned genetic genealogist Diahan Southard, founder of Your DNA Guide and renowned author and educator.
