It’s hard to believe that January is almost over. And that means that we are getting closer to RootsTech 2023. If you have followed my blog for anytime, then you know that this will be my 5th year attending RootsTech (2 in person and 2 virtual). This year’s conference theme is Uniting: uniting families, communities, and traditions. RootsTech will be held March 2-4, 2023, in Salt Lake, City, Utah. Registration is still open and is required for both the in-person and virtual conference.

RootsTech offers over 200 in-person sessions on all thing’s genealogy and family history. Also since this is a hybrid conference of both in-person and virtual there will be virtual/on demand sessions as well. Subject matters include DNA, methodology, writing/publishing, researching enslaved ancestors, organization, social media/podcasts, and military records just to name a few. These classes are taught by the best and brightest in the genealogy world including, Lisa Louise Cooke, Janice Cross Gilyard, Deborah Abbott, LaBrenda Garret Nelson, and Sunny Morton just to name a few. Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum singer/songwriter and actress Jordin Sparks will keynote RootsTech 2023! The American Idol season 6 winner will share her personal story and speak to the power of uniting through song and word on the first day of the conference, held March 2–4, 2023, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and virtually at RootsTech.org.
