My husband and his father standing by a photo of his great grandfather, the first Black physician in Conway, Arkansas.

  1. Look how distinguished the great grandfather looks in his picture! Any other physicians in his family? The prompt for 52 Ancestors In 52 Weeks this week is “health”. Dr. Ralph Cummings would make a great blog.

    1. This story could really be a Lifetime movie. My father-in-law never knew his father or their family until my husband started researching last year. That’s when his family discovered there was a physician in the family. My husband wrote a two part series about his research last year. I keep telling him that he should write more about his research. If he doesn’t soon, I’m going to for sure. https://journeythroughthegenerations.com/2019/06/24/filling-in-the-blanks-how-i-started-my-genealogy-research-part-2/
