I am a retired teacher so seeing school pictures delights me. I always wonder about what happened to the dear, sweet children. Did the teacher make learning fun for them? Thank you, Trish, for once again sharing your family.

Education has always been important to my family, but it wasn’t until I started doing these Wordless Wednesdays that I realized just how many school pictures I have. I was reminded that school pictures were sometimes the only pictures that were available to families in rural areas during the 1930s, 40s, and 50s.

Thanks for sharing my picture on your blog. I am sure other families who attended Cotton Plant Academy and are searching the internet for information will be appreciate of this rare picture.

My mom, who was born in 1927, attended Cotton Plant Academy from 5th grade until she graduated in 1945!!

Thank you so much for reading my blog. My grandmother was born in 1926 and started attending Cotton Plant Academy in the 8th grade. They were around the same age, so maybe they knew each other.
