One of my favorite TV shows is returning for season 5.  BYUTV’s Relative Race premieres on Sunday, March 10 on BYUTV.  I have been following Relative Race on all social media, and everything I’ve read so far says that this is expected to be the most exciting season yet.  So I’m really excited.  Don’t forget to set your DVRs, and if your cable provider doesn’t have BYUTV, just download the app and watch it on any device.

Relative Race is a reality show where four paired up couples race/drive across America using only paper maps and a flip phone (no GPS or smart phones allowed) in search for their relatives.  The couples prior to the show have taken an Ancestry DNA test, and are able to meet relatives they don’t know throughout the course of the show.  In past seasons some Relative Race contestants have met siblings, first cousins, and parents for the first time on the show.  The couples also have to compete in challenges to gain clues to where their relatives live. It’s like Amazing Race meets genealogy.  Once you watch one episode, I promise you will be hooked.
