I’m excited to announce that I will be attending the Afro-American History and Genealogical Society 39th Annual Conference on October 11 in Philadelphia. I have been reviewing the agenda and classes that will be offered. There will be classes on DNA, research methodologies, how to research online, how to research during slavery for both the slave and the slave owner, and how to tell your genealogy story just to name a few. Some of genealogy’s best and brightest will be presenters including, Shelley Murphy, Evelyn McDowell, and Tony Burroughs will be the keynote speaker at the banquet on Saturday evening. Registration is still open.
Will you be attending this conference, let me know. I want to meet as many people as possible. Networking is definitely something I need to do more of. Genealogists and family historians will be taking over Philadelphia, and this time I will be one of them. And this is how my journey will continue…
