I’ve always felt deeply connected to my family through cherished photos and memories. My official research journey didn’t begin until 2011. In these past 14 years, I have made some wonderful discoveries that I will be sharing to celebrate the holiday season.
When I first started tracing my family history, I had no idea how deeply it would shape my life. What began as simple curiosity, looking through old photos, asking questions, and digging into records, slowly grew into a journey that changed the way I saw myself and my ancestors.
Along the way, I was encouraged to share my research journey with others. My family history blog, Journey Through the Generations, started by me writing about my research. It quickly became my safe place to write, reflect, and connect with other who loved family history as much I as I do.
After a year of writing, my husband said that I should expand my blog into a podcast because not everyone reads blogs. And he was right, our podcast, Journey Through the Generations, became a new avenue to share my research, give my ancestors a voice, and connect more deeply with my listeners. Each platform grew from the same idea, a desire to honor my ancestors and tell their stories.
