I’ve always felt deeply connected to my family through cherished photos and memories. My official research journey didn’t begin until 2011. In these past 14 years, I have made some wonderful discoveries that I will be sharing to celebrate the holiday season

Voting has always been important in my family. I remember going with my Granny when she was a poll worker during elections when I was young. My parents always went to vote together, as do my husband and I now.
So when I found a Jackson county record of registered voters in 1914 and it listed all of the men in my family as being registered to vote in 2024, I screamed in the library. I was so happy to know that my ancestors took the responsibility of voting as seriously as I do.
