I’ve wanted to start a blog for a while now, but I didn’t know where to start. I’ve been researching my family’s ancestry for over five years now. My research took a turn about two years ago. It was at that point when my research became more serious and less of a hobby. It was then I decided that someday I needed to publish my research, my experiences, my findings, and my genealogy journey as a whole. That is when I knew this is what my legacy would be. And my hope is that this blog will help me organize my thoughts and lay a foundation for my future book. I want my story and my family’s story to be told and available for generations to read.
Although I’m in the middle of researching, I want to share stories from how I got started, the different places I’ve researched, some of the records that I have found, some of my genealogy road trips, and about how my family and friends have helped me along the way. So this blog will be part what I am currently researching and part what I have done over the past five years. I will also share my inspiration for this journey and what motivates me to continue. I’m always looking for new records, new research techniques, and new places to research. So I am looking forward to any and all feedback I get from those who are reading this. And this is why my genealogy journey continues….
