If you have been following my blog for any amount of time, then you know how much I love RootsTech. I first became aware of RootsTech back in 2017 through social media. I was in awe of all the sessions, presenters, information, and the Expo Hall from reading genealogy blogs and listening to genealogy podcasts. I knew someday I would attend the world’s largest genealogy conference in Salt Lake City and get to do some research at the Family History Library. Little did I know then that I would attend my first RootsTech conference in 2019 and become a RootsTech Ambassador for the 2020 conference and for RootsTech Connect 2021 (the virtual conference).
RootsTech is the largest genealogy conference in the world. RootsTech leads the way in genealogy/family history innovation and education. There are a wide variety of sessions offered for the researchers just starting out to the most advanced/professional genealogist and for everyone in between. Sessions topics include DNA, methodology, organization, technology, African American research, record collections/databases, military research, and so much more. The virtual expo hall offers companies like Ancestry, My Heritage, Family Tree DNA, Genealogy Bank, genealogy/lineage societies, libraries, authors, and podcasters. RootsTech Connect really does have something for everyone.
RootsTech has allowed me to network with other family historians, grow my genealogy brand, and become more confident in my research and my story. So I’m excited to announce that RootsTech Connect will be back in 2022. This virtual conference will be held March 3-5, 2022 and is completely FREE. Registration is required. Visit RootsTech.org for more information.
